Marketing agency gears up with cycling brand
A North East marketing agency has strengthened its portfolio with the acquisition of a specialist sportswear brand.
Newcastle-based Mira Media Group has taken over Attacus Cycling, a performance-driven apparel business that has built an international following since it was founded in 2015.
The brand has earned a reputation for bold design and innovation, working with major names such as Garmin while growing a loyal customer base around the world.
Attacus was most recently owned by entrepreneur Dan McClen, who took the reins in December 2023.
The company will now move under the wing of Mira Media Group, which has worked closely with Attacus as a client for several years.
For Mira, the move represents both a strategic business decision and a natural progression of its existing relationship with the brand.
Bosses at the agency, which delivers results-focused marketing campaigns for eCommerce and professional services businesses across the UK, says owning a consumer-facing company will provide valuable insight into the challenges faced by its clients.
Stuart Bramley, co-founder and owner of Mira Media Group, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for us.
“My first business was a sportswear brand, which I ran for over four years.
“We built nationwide retail partnerships and a strong online presence before I exited the company.
“That experience, combined with Mira’s growth as a marketing agency, gives us a unique perspective on what it takes to succeed in the eCommerce and sportswear space.
“Acquiring Attacus allows us to bring all of that expertise together.”
