Benenden Health appoints new COO
Not-for-profit healthcare provider Benenden Health has appointed Jon Cawley as its new chief operating officer to oversee operations and its York headquarters.
Jon joins with extensive experience in the insurance sector, having held senior roles at NFU Mutual, Towergate Insurance and Zurich Insurance, as well as leading claims operations for NHS Resolution.
In his new role, he will be responsible for driving operational strategy, ensuring effective service delivery to Benenden Health’s 870,000 members and supporting its member-facing teams across more than 400 employees.
He will also join the society’s senior executive team, reporting directly to chief executive Tom Woolgrove.
Jon said: “I am delighted to be joining Benenden Health’s well respected, multi award-winning team.
“Benenden Health’s values, inclusive approach and clear focus on prioritising our members needs align perfectly with my own aims and experience.
“I have enjoyed developing innovative, market leading customer experiences across a broad spectrum of customer needs from Motability customers to large corporates and more recently, NHS patients.
“It feels a very natural step to move into the chief operating officer role at Benenden Health where I am looking forward to spending time with my team, our members and key partners.”
