Enviroo expands team to drive recycling innovation
Enviroo, the UK-based PET recycler, has strengthened its team with the appointments of Pooja Patel as finance manager and Stephen Gover as chief technology officer.
The new hires support Enviroo’s expansion and its new recycling plant at Protos Park, in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.
Stephen brings nearly a decade of experience in PET recycling and technical consultancy.
He will lead the development and execution of Enviroo’s advanced recycling facility.
Stephen said: “This role brings together everything I’m passionate about; sustainability, innovation and building something from the ground up.
“It’s rare to have the opportunity to design and deliver a facility of this kind from scratch, and I’m thrilled to help shape the future of Enviroo as we scale and grow.”
Pooja, who has a background in financial control and reporting at BDO, Westpac and Citadel, will oversee cash budgeting and financial operations.
She added: “I've always been passionate about sustainability.
“Joining Enviroo aligns with both my personal values and professional goals.
“Being part of a startup is an incredible opportunity, not many get to experience building the financial structure of a business from the ground up.”
The new plant will convert PET into certified food-grade rPET, aligning with the Government’s Deposit Return Scheme in 2027.
Ahmed Detta, chief executive of Enviroo, added: “Bringing Pooja and Stephen into the team marks an exciting new chapter for Enviroo.
“Pooja brings a sharp financial mind and the kind of startup experience that’s essential for where we’re headed.
“Stephen, meanwhile, has been instrumental in this project for years, and having him now officially onboard will ensure our technical ambitions are delivered with precision and vision.
“Their expertise strengthens our foundation as we enter a pivotal phase of growth and execution.”
