Biya2 set to bring bold Persian flavours to Leeds
A new restaurant is bringing bold Mediterranean and Persian flavours to Leeds.
Biya2 has opened its doors on Wellington Bridge Street, transforming the former TGI Friday’s unit into contemporary dining space with seating for 200 people.
The interior, designed by Paul Scholfield, blends modern industrial elements with traditional Persian décor, including handcrafted canvases, bespoke banquettes, reclaimed wood tables and a striking open bar.
Guests can enjoy a menu offering a modern take on authentic Persian and Mediterranean cuisine, from sizzling skewers and grilled meats to vibrant mezze and seasonal, locally sourced salads.
The restaurant also hosts live entertainment, themed nights and special events, creating a vibrant setting for dinners, celebrations and evenings out.
Biya2 is part of The Capri Group and is the latest venture from hospitality entrepreneur Toraj Dizchi, building on the success of his Roundhay restaurant Soosi.
Toraj said: “At Biya2 our aim is to create more than just a meal.
“We want every guest to experience authentic flavours, handcrafted cuisine, and hospitality that comes from the heart.
“We believe we’ve created a unique concept for Leeds and a dining experience that is built on tradition with a bit of extra flair, which will leave customers well entertained and well fed!”
