Firms join forces to launch care home venture
A healthcare provider and developer have joined forces on a home venture.
Park Lane Healthcare has launched Burghley Care alongside Torsion Care.
Bosses say the endeavour will deliver “a new generation” of care homes across the UK, which will “reflect changing resident expectations and increasing clinical complexity”.
The joint venture’s first scheme – the £14.5 million, 72-bed Crosslee Manor, in Hipperholme, Halifax, has secured funding from Octopus Real Estate and is expected to complete in August next year.
Chris Lane, chair at Cottingham-based Park Lane Healthcare, which already operates homes across Yorkshire and Lancashire, said: “This project marks an exciting milestone.
“Through Burghley Care, we’re combining decades of operational expertise with innovative development capability to deliver a new standard of care.
“The home in Hipperholme is just the beginning of what we believe will be a transformational pipeline across the region.”
Ian Ward, managing director at Thorpe Park-based Torsion Care, added: “Together, we’re creating care environments that are not only fit for the future but designed around the needs of residents and care teams today.”
