New jobs as payments firm buys into North East
An electronic payments support firm has expanded with a 100-job-plus office.
Modern World Business Solutions has opened a Newcastle base.
Bosses say the move will “lay foundations” for domestic and European growth at the Huntingdon-headquartered business, revealing it could employ more than 200 staff by the end of 2027.
They add the Hoults Yard-based site has created sales, customer service and technical support roles, and will act as a “hub for operations, training and customer engagement” for the business, which provides digital payment and technology support to SMEs, hospitality firms and retailers.
Warren Whitfield, founder and chief executive, said: “Newcastle has the energy, talent and innovation we’re looking for.
“This move helps us build a world-class team.”
Founded in 2018, Modern World Business Solutions’ services include electronic point of sale system support and online and mobile ordering platform Tapldoo.
