Luton Town aiming for greener goals in kit deal
A football club is laying down roots in a new kit partnership.
Luton Town has unveiled a third strip alongside supplier Reflo.
And bosses say a tree will be planted around the club’s under-construction Power Court stadium for every goal scored in the green number.
Made from recycled materials by Doncaster-headquartered Reflo, they add the kit – which follows home and away shirt launches over the summer – “sets a new benchmark for sustainable teamwear”.
The Hatters will debut the shirt in an away fixture against Burton Albion on Saturday, August 30.
Gary Sweet, Luton Town chief executive, said: “Reflo have designed a shirt dedicated to our roots in Bury Park, and one we hope supporters will enjoy wearing.
“We thank our supporters’ trust for their involvement in the kit designing process.”
Rory MacFadyen, Reflo co-founder and chief marketing officer, added: “This is what progress looks like – a shirt that champions creativity, community and circularity.
“We’re proud to stand alongside Luton in creating something that is built to last and made to make a difference.”
The partnership comes just days after Reflo was named official apparel partner for the Emirates Dubai 7s.
