Throxy secures multi-million seed backing
A London and San Francisco startup is set to expand after securing a significant funding boost to transform outbound sales for hard-to-reach industries.
Throxy has raised $6.2 million in a seed round led by Base10 Partners, with support from Y Combinator.
Founded in 2023 by Pablo Jiménez de Parga Ramos, Bergen Merey and Arnau Ayerbe, the company, which has already reached $1.5 million in annual recurring revenue, offers a managed outbound service for firms targeting sectors such as logistics, manufacturing and medical, where traditional automation tools fail to deliver results.
Instead of relying on LinkedIn or web profiles, Throxy combines proprietary data, technology and human research to identify the right decision-makers, craft tailored outreach and book high-value meetings.
Clients only pay when meetings are delivered, removing the risk of wasted spend.
Bosses say that the new investment will help Throxy scale its headcount nearly fivefold to meet growing demand for its outbound growth service.
Pablo said: “Outbound sales has stagnated over the past decade, with rapidly diminishing returns.
“Likewise, generic automation tools – even those promising the wizardry of AI – aren’t penetrating traditional industries because they don’t know how to find relevant prospects, let alone target them effectively.”
Rexhi Dollaku, general partner at Base10 Partners, added: “Throxy isn’t another AI sales tool.
“It’s an execution layer for growth in industries tech often forgets, which resonates strongly with our thesis on backing founders building for the 99 per cent.
“We’re proud to be partnering with Throxy, a company delivering real outcomes, not just activity.”
