Pegasus Group appoints new DCO director
Pegasus Group has strengthened its planning team with the appointment of Naomi Williams as development consent order (DCO) director.
Naomi, a planning expert with over 15 years’ experience, has advised ministers on more than 30 Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs).
Her appointment supports Pegasus Group’s strategy to broaden its DCO expertise across energy, transport, water, waste and commercial projects.
Based in London, Naomi brings extensive experience from Government, where she worked as a lead planning adviser on projects including wind farms, ports, airports, gas pipelines, nuclear power stations, roads and electricity transmission networks.
With Government targets requiring a major increase in renewable and low carbon energy by 2030, Naomi’s role will be central to growing Pegasus Group’s share of complex DCO work.
She will collaborate closely with Paul Burrell, head of planning, as well as Chris Calvert, head of energy and infrastructure.
Naomi said: “It is a pleasure to join the talented team at Pegasus.
“The firm has a reputation for delivering best in class advice to developers.
“I’m looking forward to adding my own skills and experience to what is already a market-leading group.
“Infrastructure projects have been propelled to the top of the national agenda, and I’m keen to make sure Pegasus is the trusted consultant of choice for developers across the infrastructure sector.”
Paul added: “Naomi’s impressive roll of call of projects speaks for itself.
“Her appointment will allow Pegasus Group to greatly expand the amount of planning work we undertake on NSIPs – not just in energy, but across the entire range of infrastructure projects, drawing upon Naomi's unrivalled experience.”
