Minibus donation helps drive community impact
A North East charity is set to reach more young people thanks to a new donation supporting its community work.
Newcastle United Foundation has received a minibus from car retailer Arnold Clark, which will be used to deliver coaching sessions, football courses, festivals and fun days across the region.
The vehicle will help reduce transport barriers and open up opportunities for children, young people and families to get involved in the foundation’s programmes.
Andy Foster, Newcastle United Foundation Managing Director, said: “Creating new opportunities is at the heart of everything we do at Newcastle United Foundation and a key factor in making this possible is transport.
“A minibus kindly provided by Arnold Clark is vital in giving participants of all ages and abilities the chance to explore, play and learn at sites across the North East of England and beyond.
“With a new vehicle, we are proud to provide even more opportunities for people across all areas of our charity, from site visits to employers and travel to disability football fixtures to supporting fundraising efforts and events driving vital donations for our charity.”
Arnold Clark has been a partner of the Newcastle United Foundation since 2021, with the donation marking the latest step in their collaboration.
Kimberley Baran, head of events, community and partnerships at Arnold Clark, added: “We’re very proud of our partnership with the Newcastle United Foundation and of being able to play a part in the terrific work they carry out in the local area.
“At Arnold Clark, we believe sport has the power to inspire, unite and create lasting opportunities.
“By supporting the Newcastle United Foundation with this minibus, we hope to make it easier for communities across the North East to benefit from the programmes, experiences, and opportunities that the charity works so hard to deliver.”
