Property firm expands with Derbyshire deal
An industrial property firm has set its sights on expansion after completing a £2.5 million deal.
Sandyford Properties has bought Salcombe Road Industrial Estate, in Alfreton, Derbyshire.
Bosses say the 16-unit estate swoop marks the company’s first investment into the East Midlands, adding it will “lay the foundations for further growth in the region”.
The firm, which already operates across Staffordshire and Cheshire, bought the 35,300sq ft base from Derbyshire County Council at auction.
Paul Brindley, Sandyford Properties’ managing director, said: “Salcombe Road Industrial Estate is a well-located, income-producing estate with clear potential to add value through refurbishment and proactive asset management.
“We see this as the first of many opportunities in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.”
Sandyford was advised on the deal by FHP, which will act as letting agent for the estate, with Hill Dickinson providing legal advice.
