Housebuilder scores football club partnership
A housebuilder has scored a football partnership.
Bellway Homes’ Yorkshire division has agreed a sponsorship deal with Snaith Storm U18s.
Bosses say the alliance has allowed the Selby District League side to buy new kit.
The deal follows Bellway’s work on the Penny Way development, based close to Snaith Storm’s ground in Snaith, near Goole, East Yorkshire.
Melanie Smith, Bellway Yorkshire’s sales director, said: “We don’t just come into town, build new homes and leave; our aim is to build communities and become part of them.
“We’ve already had lots of community activity, including a Bake Off competition and a summer fair.
“Sponsoring the football team that plays so nearby was something we just had to do.
Pete Wilson, who coaches Snaith Storm alongside Barry Leadbitter and Paul Aston, added: “Bellway’s support has been hugely appreciated and the lads look great.”
