Strava slices into new Domino’s stores
A franchise operator is set to expand its pizza store network.
Strava Group has secured seven-figure funding from NatWest to buy 14 additional Domino’s Pizza stores in Scotland, bringing its total portfolio to more than 40 locations across England and Scotland.
Managing director Rickey Sharma began his Domino’s journey as a franchisee in 2012 and has overseen the company’s expansion over the past decade
Rickey says the acquisition forms part of Strava’s wider growth strategy, which aims to operate 75 stores and strengthen its presence in the competitive pizza delivery sector.
The new stores are expected to enhance operational efficiency and market reach, supporting Strava’s continued growth while maintaining the service standards the brand is known for.
Rickey said: "This acquisition marks a significant milestone for Strava Group.
“NatWest, and its expertise in investments and understanding of our industry, made this latest acquisition possible and we are excited for what this means for the expansion of the business moving forward.
“My journey with Domino's Pizza began over a decade ago, and now through the acquisition of these stores I’m able to give other young people a start in their career.”
Andy Croasdell, relationship manager at NatWest, added: “Strava Group has demonstrated remarkable growth and a strong commitment to the Domino’s Pizza brand.
“Following our support for the acquisition of four stores in 2024, we are delighted to support these further expansion plans with this funding package.
“Rickey Sharma's leadership and vision for the future align perfectly with our values, and we look forward to seeing their continued success in the franchise sector.”
