Azets appoints new corporate finance partner
Accountancy and advisory group Azets has strengthened its corporate finance team with the appointment of Alper Dervish as partner.
Alper brings over 20 years’ experience advising businesses through growth, mergers, acquisitions, fundraising and strategic assessments across sectors including technology, media and renewables.
He will be based across Azets’ Midlands offices, helping to lead the regional corporate finance team.
Alper also serves on the inaugural UK council established by Intuit to champion small business growth.
His appointment follows the team being ranked the third most active adviser in the Midlands, completing 32 transactions in FY2025.
Alper said: “I’m passionate about supporting entrepreneurial and fast-growing companies, from SMEs to large corporates.
“ Having worked closely with a wide range of businesses to help them secure investment, expand and achieve their ambitions, joining Azets felt like a natural fit to continue working with determined companies in the Midlands and beyond.
“Over the past decade, I’ve supported businesses across diverse sectors and transactions, and I’m excited to use that experience to help grow the corporate finance team while advising a broad portfolio of clients.
“As a committed advocate for the region, I take pride in helping local businesses realise their potential and strengthen the communities in which they operate.”
Gary Hyem, corporate finance partner at Azets in Birmingham, added: “It’s great to be welcoming Alper to the team at such an exciting time.
“Following a very active year in the market, our outlook remains strong on both the buy and sell sides of deals.
“Growing our regional corporate finance capability is a key priority, and Alper’s arrival reflects that commitment.
“With his broad experience, Alper will play a pivotal role in enhancing our national offering and strengthening our presence across the Midlands.
“This appointment underlines our continued investment in talent and our dedication to driving Azets’ ongoing success.”
