Engineering firm triples size with HQ move
An engineering firm has expanded with a factory move.
Industrial and Marine Hydraulics has switched to a 22,000sq ft base on the outskirts of Middlesbrough.
Bosses say the “game-changing” site has tripled operational space, allowing the firm to “secure larger and more complex projects”.
They add the base – on Skippers Lane Industrial Estate, in Cargo Fleet – boasts overhead crane and lifting apparatus that will support larger in-house prefabrication projects.
Founded more than 40 years ago by hydraulic engineer Paul Griffiths, the company provides design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, maintenance and repairs support across sectors including the automotive, marine, oil and gas and petrochemicals industries.
James Griffiths, managing director, said: “The additional space, modernised workshops and enhanced capabilities will allow us to progress our sustainability ambitions, take on bigger projects and improve project turnaround times.
“As we grow our operations, investing in the next generation of engineers will remain at the heart of our strategy.”
