SMH Group tees off for local charities
A Yorkshire-based professional services firm has raised thousands through its annual charity golf day.
SMH Group hosted its fifth Annual Golf Day at Chesterfield Golf Club on August 22, raising a total of £7,476.01 for Andy’s Man Club and the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) South Yorkshire Branch.
The event supported 25 teams competing in a Texas Scramble format, with funds generated through entry fees, donations, a silent auction and a raffle.
Andy’s Man Club received £6,576.01, while a further £900 was donated to MNDA, continuing SMH Group’s ongoing support.
Combined with previous fundraising, more than £10,000 has been raised for Andy’s Man Club this year.
Event organiser Ross Jordan, whose team took home the top prize, said: “It’s always a pleasure to bring together clients, colleagues and friends for a good cause.
“The support we’ve had again this year has been incredible and we’re proud to continue raising funds for charities that mean so much to our team and our community.
“Thank you to everyone who took part, donated, or helped make the day such a success.”
The firm plans to work with 30 charities over the next 12 months to mark its Sheffield office’s 30th anniversary.
