Lunch deals worth leaving the office for
There’s a new reason to look forward to Tuesdays in Newcastle city centre.
NE1 has launched Lunch Club, a weekly initiative designed to showcase the city’s incredible food scene with pocket-friendly lunchtime deals.
Think of it as Restaurant Week’s younger sibling - shorter, snappier and perfect for midday cravings.
Every Tuesday, more than 30 venues across the city are serving up exclusive set menus priced at just £7.50 or £10. It’s the perfect excuse to step away from your desk and have a proper lunch.
Craving comfort food? Head to Fat Hippo for one of their legendary burgers.
Fancy something lighter? Try Mason + Rye’s freshly made sandwiches and salads.
There are also options for those with a sweet tooth, from EL&N’s Instagrammable cakes to artisan bakes at Pure Knead.
The £10 menus open the door to even more indulgence.
Colmans at Fenwick brings seafood lovers a taste of the coast, while venues like Friki Tiki and Firestone Artisan serve up bold, flavour-packed dishes that will even make a Tuesday lunch feel special.
Make plans to skip the supermarket meal deal and join the lunch club.
