Lycetts strengthens leadership team
Newcastle-based insurance broker and independent financial adviser Lycetts has announced a series of senior promotions to support its strategic growth plans.
Simon Aitken has been appointed head of office for general insurance in Newcastle, with Cristina Ion taking on the same role in Edinburgh.
They join Dorothy Pigg, chair of the commercial leadership group and Toby Heathcoat Amory, chair of the household and private client leadership group.
Simon said: “I couldn’t be more excited to step into this role at such a pivotal moment for Lycetts in Newcastle.
“The team here is outstanding and I’m determined to build on that strength to deliver unrivalled service and advice to our clients.
“This is a chance to deliver an even stronger client experience.
“By combining our deep expertise with an ambitious agenda, we are well positioned to unlock new opportunities across the region and beyond.”
Cristina added: “It’s a privilege to step into this role at such an exciting time for Lycetts.
“I’ve seen first-hand the opportunities the business creates for colleagues to grow and progress, and I’m looking forward to working closely with my team in Edinburgh and across the wider business.
“Together, we will continue delivering excellent service to our clients, while also supporting the development of our talented teams.”
In addition, Gill Teasdale has been promoted to the newly created role of chief of staff, reporting directly to chief executive Ian Barclay.
Gill added: “Since joining Lycetts I’ve been impressed by the strength of its culture and the calibre of its people.
“I’m thrilled to be stepping into the new chief of staff role, which will allow me to support greater alignment and collaboration across the business as we deliver on our growth ambitions.”
Ian added: “These appointments demonstrate the exceptional strength and depth of talent within Lycetts.
“We are committed to investing in our people and creating opportunities for colleagues to step forward into leadership roles.
“By recognising and rewarding our own talent, while introducing new positions such as chief of staff, we are equipping the business to thrive in a fast-changing marketplace.
“I am delighted to welcome Simon, Cristina, Dorothy, Toby and Gill into their new roles.
“Their expertise, energy and commitment will be invaluable as we continue to grow, innovate and enhance the service we deliver to our clients.”
The appointments form part of Lycetts’ strategy to strengthen leadership and invest in employee development across its UK offices.
