HMG appoints new chief commercial officer
Hewitt Matthews Group (HMG), based in Portsmouth and Sheffield, has appointed Becky Willis as chief commercial officer, strengthening its leadership team following the acquisition of Quba earlier this year.
Becky joins from global managed services business Just After Midnight, where she oversaw growth and new business, tripling turnover in four years.
She has also held senior roles at Appius, Createful, Cold Banana Studios, Redweb and GrowCreate, delivering growth through sales, marketing and strategic partnerships.
At HMG, Becky will commercialise the Group’s offerings, build new business opportunities, develop vendor partnerships and support client relationships.
Her immediate focus will be revitalising Quba’s new business function, laying the groundwork for the Group’s wider growth strategy.
Becky said: “This is an amazing opportunity to grow something innovative and incredible in the agency scene, alongside people I really care about.
“I’ve known Carl and Reece for a while, and Jonny for over a decade, so for this to fall into place now feels equal parts comforting and exciting.
“It’s a huge challenge, but one I can’t wait to get started on.”
Carl Hewitt, chief executive of Hewitt Matthews Group, said: “Becky’s ability to deliver real commercial, strategic growth is exactly what HMG needs at this pivotal stage.
“As we continue to scale both organically and through further acquisitions, Becky will play a central role in making sure our commercial engine is as strong as our delivery.”
Reece Matthews, chief operating officer, added: “Bringing Becky into the leadership team is a significant step for us.
“Her reputation and proven record of scaling agencies will bring new energy and structure to our commercial function and we’re excited to see the impact she’ll make.”
