Sancus expands presence in Manchester
Alternative financial services provider Sancus Lending UK has relocated to a larger city centre office at 26 Cross Street, less than a year after launching in the city.
Bosses say the move reflects the company’s “strong commitment” to Manchester and its confidence in the city as a hub for real estate finance.
The expansion follows a number of strategic hires, including relationship executive Reece Gaulton and Alex Bodie, who leads the newly launched social housing division.
Andrew Charnley, managing director of Sancus, which also has a London base and is supported by principal shareholder The Somerston Group, said: “This move reflects our strong commitment to Manchester.
“The city has exceeded our expectations – in terms of the market, the talent and the opportunities.
“Our new 1800sq ft office marks an important investment in our long-term growth here – and this is just the beginning.”
Alex Garland, commercial director, added: “There’s real momentum behind what we’re doing.
“We’ve grown quickly, built a strong team and established deep roots in the market.
“Our new base at Cross Street puts us at the heart of it all.”
The five-year lease was secured with support from property consultants OBI and legal advisors Hill Dickinson.
