Entrepreneurs from across UK unite in Birmingham in Celebrity Photographer’s Event
An entrepreneurial event with a difference is coming to Birmingham next month as a celebrity photographer puts her skills to the test with founders from all backgrounds, from across the UK, and brings them to an event in the Jewellery Quarter on 17th October.
Unmasked is an event and photography exhibition of portrait shots of leading entrepreneurs across the UK, including two female leaders local to Birmingham, as participants from the exhibition tell their stories, and celebrate what it looks like to be truly seen.
‘Unmasked’ will provide local entrepreneurs the opportunity to network with other founders from across the UK, and learn from each other about what it takes to grow a business with a personal brand behind it.
Celebrity photographer, Joanna Wood, whose photos of entrepreneur Sara Davies have recently featured in the Daily Express has been working with all participants - 30 solo entrepreneurs - to help them find their confidence to stand in front of the camera, sharing their stories of overcoming adversity, and vulnerability.
She is now calling on the people of Birmingham to come and support them, inviting local business owners to come and meet the people behind the businesses as she showcases these vulnerable portraits, and celebrates mission led founders through her emotive exhibition and networking event with a difference.. Each photograph will be accompanied by a story that the entrepreneur has shared - about what part of themselves they were keeping hidden.
Featuring in the exhibition are local Birmingham based entrepreneurs Regina Martin and Nerissa Herald. Regina, ’The Confidence Healer’, who also runs inclusive networking organisation, The NETwork, is hoping to empower fellow entrepreneurs to live their authentic lives and embrace every part of themselves, despite society’s current backdrop of division in many areas. Whilst Nerissa, founder of the Rebel Coaching Academy hopes to inspire people to find the rebel in themselves.
Joanna describes it as “a live exhibition and storytelling experience that puts truth, visibility, and raw entrepreneurial courage front and centre” Alongside the exhibition of photos the event is also hosting 6 entrepreneurial speakers who will also be sharing unfiltered stories of success, fear, healing, power and purpose.
Joanna’s passion for authenticity and inclusion has also ensured she has welcomed and encouraged solopreneurs of all races, genders, ages and sexual orientations to come together in Birmingham, to share their stories and be a part of her upcoming photoshoot and exhibition, as ethos of ‘Unmasked’ is to connect people from all walks of life.
