Rem3dy secures funding to scale production

A Midlands-based healthtech company has secured investment to expand its production and global reach.

Rem3dy Health has raised £500,000 from Future Planet Capital Regional through the West Midlands Co-Investment Fund (WMCO).

The funding is part of a larger £9 million raise, including contributions from Suntory, ADM and UPSA, which bosses say will support the expansion of manufacturing capacity and market growth in the US and Asia.

The company’s flagship brand, Nourished, uses patented 3D printing technology to create unique seven-layer nutrient gummies.

To date, Rem3dy Health has secured £19 million in total investment, funding three factories, new manufacturing technologies and expanding its portfolio to 29 approved patents.

Melissa Snover, founder and chief executive, said: “Securing this investment from Future Planet Capital Regional and the West Midlands Co-Investment Fund is a significant milestone for Rem3dy Health.

“It's particularly meaningful to have a strong West Midlands investor join us, further cementing our roots in this dynamic region.

“This funding will be crucial as we scale our manufacturing capabilities and expand our reach globally, continuing our mission to provide truly personalised and sustainable health solutions.”

Managed by Future Planet Capital Regional, the WMCO supports high-growth SMEs that can strengthen the local economy and drive international success.

Rupert Lyle, investment director at Future Planet Capital Regional and fund principal of WMCO, added: “We have known Melissa for several years, and are incredibly impressed by her dedication to the West Midlands.

“Her desire to have a local investor on her cap table, coupled with the groundbreaking technology Rem3dy Health is developing, made this an unmissable opportunity.

“We are truly excited by what the company is achieving.

“Not only does it offer a more effective and user-friendly way to consume vitamins, but the use of natural, food-derived materials, free from artificial additives, makes their products inherently safer and healthier for consumers.

“This aligns perfectly with our fund’s commitment to supporting innovative and impactful businesses.”

Richard Parker, mayor of the West Midlands and WMCA chair, added: “This is what my Growth Plan is all about: supporting brilliant ideas that create jobs right here in the West Midlands.

“In Rem3dy Health we are providing an innovative, homegrown business with the funding it needs to scale up, export its products and compete on a global stage.”
