IIC-INTERSPORT announces board changes
IIC-INTERSPORT International Corporation GmbH (IIC) has confirmed changes to its board of management following its 2025 Annual General Meeting in Noordwijk aan Zee, The Netherlands.
Corinne Gensollen has been re-elected as chairman, with Pontus Petersson elected vice-chairman.
Rick White and Volfango Bondi were also re-elected for three-year terms.
Two new members have joined the board.
These are Patrick Bundeli, chief executive of INTERSPORT Switzerland, and Thomas Storck, chief financial officer and deputy chief executive of INTERSPORT Germany, who replaces Alexander von Preen after five years on the board.
Thomas has led INTERSPORT Germany’s finance and management since 2020 and has over three decades of experience in wholesale and retail, including senior roles at Metro Germany.
Volfango has served as chief executive of INTERSPORT Switzerland for over ten years, having joined the company in 2011, and has previously held positions at Deloitte and Ernst & Young.
Alexander von Preen said: "After five successful years of helping to transform IIC, it`s now the right time for me to step down as deputy chairman and BOM Member of IIC and to refocus on my main role as chief executive of INTERSPORT Deutschland.
“With our strategy BEST IN SPORTS: UP FOR FUTURE, we are continuing our growth target in the German market – both organically and inorganically.
“In line with good corporate governance, I am delighted to hand over the IIC BOM role to another country chief executive and my colleague, Thomas Storck."
Corinne Gensollen added: “I am deeply honoured to be re-elected as chair of IIC and sincerely grateful for the continued trust and support of my colleagues.
“It is a privilege to work alongside such a strong and committed international board.”
