Paralloy marks milestone year with more success
A Teesside-based manufacturing business is celebrating a year of accolades and rapid growth.
Middlesbrough-headquartered Paralloy Group, a specialist in stainless steel products for industries including petrochemical, aerospace and defence, recently won the Transformation of the Year category at the inaugural Private Business Awards in London, sponsored by BDO.
On receiving the award, Robert McGowan, chief executive of Paralloy Group, said: “This recognition reflects the dedication, agility, and resilience of our team as we’ve reshaped the business for a new era.
“Through strategic investment, innovation, and a focus on our people and customers, we’ve built a stronger, more future-ready Paralloy.
“This award is not just a milestone; it’s a testament to what we can achieve together.”
The award is yet further recognition for Paralloy, which earlier this year received the King’s Award for International Trade, one of the UK’s highest industry honours.
The company has also been nominated for the Exporter of the Year Award at the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards in November, while Paralloy has also been shortlisted in the International Trade category at the Manufacturer MX Awards.
Since new ownership six years ago, Paralloy’s revenues have risen from £30 million to £230 million, while its workforce across sites in Middlesbrough, Billingham, Sheffield and France has grown from 220 to over 1100.
With nearly one million sq ft of manufacturing space, the group exports more than 90 per cent of its products worldwide.
