MyEdSpace secures funding for global growth
A UK-based online education platform is set to expand internationally.
MyEdSpace has raised $15 million in a Series A funding round led by White Star Capital, with support from Educapital, Emerge, Active Partners and Coalition Capital.
Bosses say the investment will fund the development of AI-powered learning tools, the introduction of new subjects and expansion across the UK and into the United States.
Sean Hirons, co-founder of MyEdSpace, said: “We set out to combine the best teachers, leading technology and the power of social media to build a platform that delivers the education that young people want and deserve.
“Our model makes learning affordable and ends the postcode lottery of achievement.
“With this funding and the support of our investors, we can take the next step in making world-class education available to every child in the UK, and now in the US.
“It brings us one step closer to being able to provide free access for every UK child on free school meals, which we set as a long-term company goal.”
Nicholas Stocks, general partner at White Star Capital, added: “The education system is struggling – there aren’t enough teachers and the attainment gap between those with access to private tuition or schooling and those without continues to widen.
“MyEdSpace is transforming the way young people learn by combining outstanding teachers with scalable technology.
“They are helping to bridge the divide and widen access to world-class education, and we are proud to back the team as they expand across the UK and into the US.”
Since launching in 2022, the platform has taught more than 16,000 students and now boasts a following of more than four million across social media.
In 2025, 51 per cent of MyEdSpace students scored grades 7–9 at GCSE in Maths, more than triple the national average.
MyEdSpace’s teachers, drawn from the top one per cent in the UK, deliver live lessons to thousands at once, offering a high-quality, affordable alternative to traditional tutoring.
