Prosper appoints manager to support framework
Procurement experts Prosper has appointed Laura Balaam Wiseman as procurement and contracts manager to help deliver its New Build Development framework.
Laura brings extensive social housing and new build experience from her previous role as head of delivery at Sunderland-based Gentoo, where she oversaw land-led sites, Section 106 schemes and net-zero housing initiatives.
At Prosper, she will support public sector partners in accessing and delivering the four-year multi-supplier framework, which launched in July with 22 firms appointed across England and Wales.
The framework covers new build, refurbishment, extensions and improvements across housing, commercial, community, education and healthcare buildings.
Laura said: “This is a great opportunity for me and I’m really excited to be joining Prosper at a time when they have launched their New Build Development framework.
“I am looking forward to utilising my skills and contacts that I have built up with contractors to deliver schemes.
“I have first-hand experience of working with Prosper as we accessed some of their frameworks at Gentoo and was always impressed with their approach to supporting clients to achieve their project goals and objectives.
“My skills and knowledge will focus on the delivery of sustainability, continuous improvement and I’m now looking forward to working with other registered social providers and local authority partners to support their projects and drive this new offer forward.”
Rod Brasington, chief executive of Prosper, added: “Laura is a fantastic appointment and brings with her a wealth of social housing new build knowledge, skills and experience we need to help us deliver our new framework.
“I’m really looking forward to working with her and know she will be a great asset to the team.”
