Food supplier has taste for growth with takeover
A food and drink supplier has expanded with a takeover.
Kiril Mischeff Group has bought Primepak Foods.
Bosses say the deal for the cheese and cooked meats processing firm “further strengthens and diversifies Worksop-based Kiril Mischeff’s range of products and services”.
Operating from Driffield, in East Yorkshire, Primepak Foods also makes sandwich fillers for retail, delicatessen and food service operators under its Wolds Edge brand and private label deals.
Founded in 1935, Kiril Mischeff supplies items to the food and drink making, foodservice and retail sectors.
Dimiter Mirchev, Kiril Mischeff Group managing director, said: “This acquisition will allow us to expand and develop our offering, and we welcome the Primepak team on board for what we are sure will be a successful future.”
Richard Johnson, Primepak Foods managing director, added: “We are excited to continue growing the business as part of the Kiril Mischeff Group.”
The deal was supported by Bradford, Huddersfield and Leeds-based commercial law firm Schofield Sweeney.
Schofield Sweeney and Affinia acted as advisors for Kiril Mischeff, with DSW Corporate Finance, Bradbury and Co Accountants and Wilkin Chapman Rollits acting as advisors for Primepak Foods.
Michael Cantwell, partner in Schofield Sweeney’s corporate team, said: “We have worked with Kiril Mischeff for almost a decade, across a number of exciting acquisitions, and we’re delighted for Dimiter and the team to complete on this deal.”
