Lifted Ventures reveals plan to scale impact
A Leeds-based investment network has unveiled a bold plan to empower female entrepreneurs across the UK.
Lifted Ventures launched its 2025–2027 5-Point Manifesto, outlining plans to support female founders, develop women investors and drive innovation across the UK regions.
The announcement was made at the Athena Festival in Leeds, marking Lifted Ventures’ second anniversary and highlighting its role in reshaping the investment landscape for women outside London.
The manifesto outlines ambitious targets for the next two years, including backing 30 regional female founders with capital and hands-on support, activating 75 new women angel investors and building a network of 500 women in venture capital and co-investment.
It also aims to educate 500 female founders to become investment-ready and to unite 1000 people at investment events such as the Athena Festival, Athena VC and Lifted Women Angels Conference.
Co-founders Jordan Dargue and Helen Oldham say the initiative will focus on communities historically overlooked by mainstream funding, including the North, Midlands, Scotland and Wales, to help drive innovation and catalyse lasting economic change beyond London.
Jordan said: “We envision a future where women across every UK region lead with innovation, powered by capital and collaboration.
“This manifesto isn’t just about numbers; it’s about changing the system.
“We’re backing women where they are underfunded, underrepresented and undervalued, and we’re doing it with a clear commitment to scale impact regionally.”
By combining investment, education and community-building, Lifted Ventures seeks to unlock wealth creation, boost financial confidence and amplify the economic impact of female-led teams.
Helen added: “Women across the UK are brimming with talent and ambition, yet too often locked out of the investment conversation.
“Through our five commitments, we’re building a movement of women investors and founders who will not just participate, but lead.
“This is about legacy, leadership and unlocking economic power for the next generation.”
