Double Eleven charts new leadership course

A North East games studio is set to enter a new phase of growth under new leadership.

Middlesbrough-based Double Eleven has appointed Kimberley Turner and Mark South as co-chief executives, marking the next chapter for the independent developer and publisher.

Kimberley, formerly chief financial officer and commercial director, and Mark, previously chief operating officer, will now lead the studio from its Boho X headquarters, driving global expansion and creative development.

Their appointments follow founder Lee Hutchinson’s move to a strategic role as chairman of Pneuma Group, Double Eleven’s parent company.

Based in Malaysia, Lee will focus on the broader vision and global growth of the group, remaining closely connected to the studio he built over 15 years.

In a joint statement, Kimberley and Mark said: “Lee’s vision and leadership have been instrumental in Double Eleven’s journey from a small independent studio to an internationally respected developer and publisher.

“We are honoured to build on the legacy he created and excited to lead the company into its next phase.”

Lee, whose leadership has been instrumental in shaping Double Eleven into the globally respected studio it is today, added: “I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built and confident that under Kimberley and Mark’s leadership, Double Eleven will continue to thrive.”
