PMP appoints projects director to drive growth

Manchester-based building consultancy PMP has appointed Michelle Richardson as projects director to lead its new project management team and spearhead growth across the North West.

Michelle brings more than 20 years of experience in the property sector, including senior roles at Deloitte Real Estate, Motion Project Management and Property Alliance Group. 

Originally from an architectural background, she has delivered projects across a range of sectors and values, combining technical expertise with strong leadership and strategic oversight.

In her new role, Michelle will oversee PMP’s growing portfolio of project management work, supporting clients including Royal London and Marks & Spencer.

Michelle said: “It’s an exciting time to join PMP. 

“Our client base is growing rapidly, and with this, so is the demand for a full suite of services.  

“The North West property market is booming, meaning there are so many opportunities for project management firms to excel. 

“I can’t wait to get stuck in, helping Ben to grow our PMP projects team to new heights and deliver incredible results across the region.”  

Michelle’s appointment follows a record year for PMP’s Manchester office, which is experiencing increased demand for project management services following several multi-million-pound project wins, including a £5 million cladding scheme in Ancoats and a £2 million office refurbishment in Spinningfields.

The firm, which also has offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Bristol, plans to make a further three hires in Manchester over the next year as it continues to build on its success in the region.
