Architect eyes growth with 'robust' pipeline of work

A North East architecture practice is preparing for a strong 2026 with a pipeline of high-value residential projects.

Architects-Group, based at AirView Park, in Woolsington, has secured a series of six-figure commissions for bespoke one-off developments, contributing to projected growth as the firm targets a £3 million turnover by the end of 2026.

The firm continues to expand following a string of exclusive residential wins, including two unique countryside dwellings in Northamptonshire approved under paragraph 84 of the National Planning Policy Framework.

One of the firm’s recent North Yorkshire projects, a contemporary home in a protected landscape, has been named a finalist in the AJ Architecture Awards 2025, competing for the prestigious Manser Medal, which celebrates architectural excellence in new-build homes across the UK.

Architects-Group has also previously featured on the TV programme Grand Designs, reinforcing its expertise in delivering highly specialist, high-quality countryside properties.

The firm’s current portfolio spans a 45,000sq ft and a 35,000sq ft house in Berkshire, as well as a neo-classical 60,000sq ft manor in the South East, currently one of the UK’s largest homes under construction.

Other projects include a Lake Windermere shore boathouse and a four-storey riverside apartment scheme in Cheshire, with units starting at £1.2 million, as well as planning approval for a large manor and workers’ dwellings in Northumberland.

Architectural director Dan Cogdon said: “With the high-end property sector showing signs of continued growth in 2025, the market for exclusive, prestigious one-off dwellings such as those we are involved in designing remains robust.

“We will be busier than ever over the coming months, investing in our design team’s capabilities to secure sustainable growth.

“We’re involved in developing fantastic projects for great clients, as we focus on our strategy of quality over quantity.

“This will help sustain our incredible in-house team of designers and support our planned expansion into Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East in general in the coming year.”
