PTSG expands national reach with takeover

A Castleford-based compliance specialist has expanded its national footprint with the acquisition of a leading ventilation and fire safety firm.

Premier Technical Services Group (PTSG) has bought System Hygienics Holdings Limited, including its trading arm System Hygienics Limited, in a move that enhances its fire solutions and compliance capabilities across the UK.

Headquartered in Polegate, Sussex, with an additional base in Market Harborough, System Hygienics employs more than 90 staff, including 62 engineers operating nationwide. 

Founded in 1993, System Hygienics delivers ventilation and extract cleaning, fire damper testing and air quality assessments to clients across sectors such as healthcare, education, construction and hospitality.

Bosses say the deal further strengthens PTSG’s Fire Solutions division, complementing existing operations and expanding national coverage in ventilation hygiene and fire damper testing – both areas of increasing focus for UK businesses.

They add the System Hygienics’ management team, led by Phil Tetlow and Shirley Finotti, will remain in place to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure continuity during the transition.
