Menzies LLP expands with Grain Sustainability deal
A business advisory and accountancy firm has expanded with a takeover.
Menzies LLP has bought Grain Sustainability.
Bosses say the deal for the consultancy will bolster the national firm’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) service offer.
Known for ESG and sustainability support spanning areas including corporate strategy and net-zero roadmaps, Grain Sustainability helps clients with reporting, framework compliance and B Corp certification and recertification.
It has worked with businesses, trade associations, charities and government bodies including Asahi UK, Dogs Trust and Nordic Pharma.
As part of the deal, Grain Sustainability directors Christoph Geppert and Madelyn Postman, along with consultants Amber Harrison, Maria Angeles Martín León and Mary Pearson, will join Menzies’ head of sustainability Richard Singleton at the firm’s London Gresham Street office.
Richard said: “ESG should never be viewed as a box-ticking exercise.
“Robust ESG reporting and assurance helps businesses de-risk, strengthen stakeholder confidence and improve long-term performance.
“By bringing Grain’s expertise under the Menzies umbrella, we’re enhancing our ability to support clients in this business-critical arena.”
Madelyn added: “Menzies has a strong track record of supporting rapidly growing and scaling businesses.
“By joining forces, we can bring that expertise to Menzies’ existing and future clients, helping them turn compliance into a driver of performance and positive impact.”
