Recruiter grows with £100,000 office move
A recruitment agency has strengthened its market presence with a £100,000 office expansion.
MET Recruitment has opened a base in Tamworth’s Pacific House.
Officials say the move will boost the firm’s provision of commercial, industrial, technology and transport and distribution candidates across Staffordshire and the East Midlands.
And they say it could be followed by a Shropshire base, as the company seeks to tap into demand for a "reliable recruitment company… providing a strong pool of skilled labour”.
The Dudley-headquartered operator has appointed Dee Edwards as recruitment consultant and Claire Foster as industrial growth manager, and has secured its first account with Stormking, which operates as part of the Epwin Group.
Claire said: “Tamworth is full of industrial estates, with lots of logistics and manufacturing businesses.
“Companies are crying out for a reliable recruitment company, which has access to a strong pool of skilled labour.
“That’s what we’re aiming to bring to the area.”
Matthew Hunter, MET Recruitment’s industrial director, added: “A large part of our focus in Tamworth will be industrial and logistics.
“However, we are going into it with an open mind, and if new opportunities arise, we’ll go after them.
“Going forward, we have big plans in place to open a third office, with Shropshire the likely destination.”
