Anwyl Homes strengthens leadership team
A North Wales-based housebuilder has bolstered its leadership team with the promotion of Mathew Tudor Owen to land director at its Cheshire and North Wales division.
Mathew, who joined Anwyl Homes in 2017 as a senior land manager, will now lead the land and planning team, delivering the company’s business plan and identifying sites to support growth across Cheshire and North Wales.
A Geography graduate, he began his career in 2012 on Redrow’s graduate scheme and progressed through land management roles before joining Anwyl.
Originally from Wrexham, Mathew is proud to work for a family-owned business with strong local roots and enjoys golfing in his free time.
Mathew said: “I’m excited to take on a new challenge and continue to help drive Anwyl’s growth.
“We have ambitious plans for the business and a great team in place to deliver them.
“Anwyl’s family ethos and open culture really sets it apart.”
He added: “Planning remains one of the biggest challenges facing the sector.
“However, with the right strategy and teamwork, I’m confident we’ll continue to secure great sites and build on our strong pipeline.”
Anwyl Homes Cheshire and North Wales is part of the Anwyl Group, a family-owned business with 95 years of history, known for building high-quality homes across North Wales and the North West of England.
Mark Calvert, managing director for Anwyl Homes Cheshire and North Wales, added: “Mathew’s promotion is very well deserved.
“Since joining us eight years ago, he has played a key role in our land strategy and has been instrumental in helping us expand into new areas.
“His in-depth market knowledge and strong relationships make him a valuable asset to the business and I’m confident he’ll continue to drive our growth ambitions forward in his new role.”
