MP opens refurbished headquarters
Darlington MP Lola McEvoy has officially opened the newly refurbished headquarters of a local property firm.
186 Property Solutions, which specialises in commercial property refurbishments, retrofits and upgrades, has modernised its base at Four Riggs, transforming the former J.L. Moore fruit and nut warehouse into a flexible, energy-efficient workspace designed to support future expansion.
The refurbishment features new heating systems, updated flooring, a modern boardroom, increased office capacity and enhanced kitchen and welfare facilities.
During her visit, Ms McEvoy toured the building, viewed the company’s recent regional projects and presented a certificate to Kyle Sugars for completing his joinery apprenticeship.
She said: “It’s absolutely wonderful to see the high quality renovation 186 property solutions have done to their new offices.
“Our town is filled with excellent SMEs doing everything right.
“It was a joy to meet Kyle and present him with his apprenticeship certificate.”
Ms McEvoy added: “I'm determined that when public money comes into our area our SMEs have every opportunity to win the contracts.
“For too long SMEs have struggled to compete and this Government are determined to change that.”
186 Property Solutions has seen rising demand for its services across commercial buildings, including offices, retail, leisure, industrial and healthcare, as well as school upgrades throughout the North East and Yorkshire.
While headquartered in Darlington, the firm delivers projects across the UK and operates an office in Berkshire to serve clients in London and the South East, reflecting its expanding national footprint.
Jonathan Carter, director of 186 Property Solutions, added: “This building represents what we are doing across the country, retrofitting, remodelling and reshaping existing buildings to give them a new and revitalised lease of life.
“It’s an investment that provides our expanding team with a more comfortable and productive working environment, and most importantly, it allows us to remain rooted in Darlington.”
