Simoda extends reach to European clients
A Sheffield-based IT and technology company is extending its services to clients across Europe following a record year of growth.
Simoda, founded in 2019, has grown 35 per cent over the past 12 months and is now expanding its operations internationally, initially supporting existing clients through its base in Amsterdam.
The company has already completed site-wide fibre and CCTV installations for European clients, as well as a network refresh for a French governmental body.
Bosses say the move enables clients to scale operations across Europe while maintaining high standards in infrastructure, communications and cybersecurity.
They add that its European operations will add between five to ten per cent to overall growth in 2026.
Daniel Bumby, founder and managing director of Simoda, said: “As a company, we are excited to celebrate our recent growth.
“We have battled through a global pandemic, cost of living crisis, the rise of cyber security to get here and are now navigating the AI age too.
“As has always been the case, we continue to prioritise our growth within the local economy to help as many businesses as we can, here in South Yorkshire, get the most out of their technology investment.
“This continued need for support has meant we have now expanded our services into Europe to better support existing clients.
“This has provided an exciting opportunity – we had always dreamed of providing technology and IT support further afield.
“While the chance has come around quicker than we imagined, we are thrilled to have the operational and delivery capability to help fulfil our customer’s needs overseas.
“It's an exciting new chapter for us.”
The company has also strengthened its leadership team with three new board appointments.
Christian Colton has become network services director, overseeing fibre, Wi-Fi and security projects across the UK.
Simon Flint, formerly head of finance, is now finance director, managing customer and supplier relationships.
And Kate Hill, previously head of customer relations and marketing, takes on the role of commercial director, responsible for marketing strategy and strategic partnerships.
Daniel added: “Building on our fantastic foundations and the changing needs of the technology marketplace, we have taken the decision to implement leadership changes to strengthen our efforts going forward.”
