Cyber firm eyes expansion after city headquarters lift

A global cybersecurity firm has hailed the impact of a North East expansion after reaching an employee milestone.

Arctic Wolf says the impact of its Newcastle-based Europe, Middle East and Africa headquarters leaves it well placed to become “the number one provider” across the geographies.

Bosses unveiled their positivity after the company – which opened its North East hub in 2021 – saw its UK workforce tick over the 100 mark.

They add the move has also helped the firm secure more than 500 customers and take its UK partner network to nearly 120.

Clare Loveridge, vice president and general manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: “In the space of four years, we have firmly cemented Arctic Wolf as a leading cybersecurity provider in the UK and across Europe.

“We’ve launched our new security operations centre in Germany, grown our partner network by 90 per cent and continued to expand our capabilities through key hires and investment.

“We have also led the way in investing in under-represented areas on the global tech scene, such as founding our Europe, Middle East and Africa headquarters in Newcastle, which has rewarded us with some of the best talent around.

“I am looking forward to building on this success and becoming the number one cybersecurity provider in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.”
