Carers charity expands with office switch
A charity helping young carers says it has strengthened its support offer with an office switch.
MYTIME Young Carers is moving to a Dorset base.
Bosses say the 2120sq ft hub, in Broadstone’s Manor House, will boost work to “ensure no child's destiny is defined by their beginning”.
It will replace a hub at Bournemouth’s Avonbourne School.
Providing support to young carers aged between five and 25, the charity’s services include an employability programme that helps participants access further education, training and work.
Krista Cartlidge, MYTIME Young Carers chief executive, said: “Although our headquarters are based in Dorset, it is our mission to level the playing field for incredible young people across the country.
“We exist to champion and empower them to reach their full personal, academic and professional potential.”
Property consultancy Vail Williams acted on behalf of the company that owns Manor House, which includes eight office suites.
Bryony Thompson, partner at Vail Williams’ Bournemouth office, added: “Manor House is an ideal environment to work from as the charity grows, having already helped nearly 2300 young carers across Dorset and the Isle of Wight.”
