Castle completes work on manufacturing base
A building contractor has completed work on a manufacturing base.
Castle oversaw the build of a 43,000sq ft hub at Nelson Park, in Cramlington, Northumberland.
The site is home to Legrand’s CP Electronics lighting controls and Legrand Care brands, with bosses saying the space will allow the business “to grow and flourish in the North East.”
Hebburn-headquartered Castle was appointed by UK Land Estates to deliver the project, which included architectural, earth and groundworks, mechanical, electrical and plumbing and office fit-out work, and the installation of electric vehicle charging points and solar panels.
Andrew Dawson, Castle managing director, said: “The project involved deploying a wide range of expertise, including full architectural services.
“It has been a pleasure to support UK Land Estates on a project that secures an international brand for the North East.”
Adrian Bartle, UK Land Estates construction director, added: “We have built a strong relationship with Castle, which is based on trust and its track record of delivering high-quality services.
“This project is further evidence of that.
“The facility offers space for the global business to grow and flourish in the North East.”
