Ford Transit Centre opens in Darlington

A new vehicle centre in Darlington is set to boost support for local businesses.

Evans Halshaw has opened a purpose-built Ford Transit Centre on Croft Road, operating alongside its established Ford car dealership. 

Bosses say the new site has created six sales roles and additional commercial technician positions, all filled by trained local talent.

Scott Burns, commercial vehicle director at Evans Halshaw Ford, said: “The opening of our new Transit Centre in Darlington demonstrates our continued investment in supporting local businesses and tradespeople and adds to our nationwide portfolio of Transit Centre’s in Evans Halshaw. 

“With our expert team, cutting-edge facilities, and commitment to the Ford Pro philosophy, we’re ready to keep customers and their businesses moving.”  

The centre allows customers to test drive the full range of Ford commercial vehicles, including the Transit Custom BEV, eTransit and Ford Ranger, with extended test drives available. 

Facilities include eight commercial ramps, Class 4 and 7 MOT testing and 12 EV chargers, catering to modern business operators.
