DJL secures funding to expand operations
A West Yorkshire fencing business is set to grow after securing substantial funding.
DJL Fencing Contractors Limited, based in Featherstone, has received a £1.5 million package from NatWest to support expansion and purchase a new 23,000sq ft industrial warehouse.
The family-run business, founded in 2008, specialises in site hoarding and fencing for construction, demolition and building projects across the UK.
Bosses say the new premises will allow DJL to expand its office and storage facilities, enabling future growth while bringing a long-vacant building on the Featherstone Trading Estate back into use.
They add that the move is expected to create new local employment opportunities, adding to the firm’s existing 22-strong workforce.
Environmental sustainability is also a key focus for DJL, with plans to install solar panels at the new warehouse to help reduce its CO2 footprint.
Darren Lumb, director of DJL, said: “We are thrilled to be working with NatWest, who have supported us from the very start of this funding request.
“Sanjoy was a great help throughout the entire process.
“This is a significant step forward for our business.
“The new premises will give us the space we need to grow, enhance our operations, mitigate our carbon footprint, and continue providing the high-quality service our clients expect.
“We are excited to build on our success and solidify our position as the first choice for site hoarding & fencing solutions in our sector.”
Sanjoy Kundu, relationship manager at NatWest said: “As the UK’s biggest bank for businesses, we work collaboratively with our customers to understand their needs and help them find solutions to support their businesses as they grow.
“It has been a pleasure to support DJL with this £1.5 million funding package.
“This is a fantastic family business with deep roots in the local community and an impressive reputation for excellence.
“We were impressed by their ambition and clear vision for growth.
“This expansion marks an exciting new chapter, and we look forward to continuing to support the onward journey.”
