Five decades of fizz in North London
A North London manufacturing site is celebrating 50 years of production, investment and community impact.
Coca-Cola Europacific Partners’ (CCEP) Edmonton factory, which opened in 1975, has grown into a key part of the company’s GB manufacturing network.
It now operates seven production lines and is the only CCEP site producing bag-in-box products for the UK hospitality sector.
Since 2019, CCEP has invested £22 million in the Edmonton site, which employs around 300 people, including 11 apprentices and graduates.
Its operations also support more than 4000 indirect jobs across manufacturing, transport, agriculture, retail and local supply chains.
To mark its Golden Jubilee, staff celebrated with a special lunch, as well as recognising long-serving team members and unveiling a commemorative golden plaque (pictured below).
Katie Hutt, GB manufacturing director at Coca Cola Europacific Partners, said: “Edmonton has always been more than a manufacturing site; it’s a place with real community spirit.
“So many people have worked here for years, building friendships, passing on knowledge and taking pride in what they do every single day.
“As one of North London’s long-standing local businesses – we’re proud to play a part in the community – creating jobs, supporting local causes and local people.
“That’s what we’re celebrating, not just 50 years of production, but 50 years of people showing up with care and commitment.
“Looking ahead, it’s the energy and pride of this team that makes me excited for Edmonton’s next chapter.”
