Prime Accountants welcomes forensic senior manager

West Midlands-based accounting firm Prime Accountants Group has appointed Shannon Walden as its new forensic senior manager. 

The firm, which operates across Birmingham, Solihull, and Coventry, has strengthened its forensic accountancy team to meet growing client demand for specialist services.

Shannon joins from KPMG, where she spent ten  years developing expertise in forensic accounting, including investigations, disputes, economic analysis and fraud risk identification. 

She began her career as an intern, completed KPMG’s graduate scheme, and is fully qualified.

At Prime, Shannon will focus on dispute work while collaborating closely with director and head of forensic accounting, Adrian Pym. 

She said: “The work at Prime is so varied because, even if the nature of a case is the same as another – for example, a matrimonial dispute – every case has its own set of circumstances.

“I'm learning so much from working with Adrian. 

“The way the directors work at Prime is so collaborative, it's a cliche but Adrian's door is always open and it means we’re able to discuss our client work in an ongoing way.

“I enjoy the attention to detail and problem solving which forensic accounting requires – it’s all about identifying what has happened and proposing a solution.”

She added: “The company culture is great – everyone has been so welcoming across all the departments and offices. 

“We have direct access to the directors, and the team’s ideas and opinions are all heard and taken into consideration.”

Shannon’s appointment enhances the firm’s capability to provide in-depth forensic support across audits, investigations and dispute resolution.

Adrian Pym, Prime director and head of forensic accounting, added: “Shannon has brought new perspectives, knowledge and experience to our forensic accounting offering, and we’re pleased to have her as part of the Prime team.
