Hartnell Taylor Cook bolsters senior team in London
Commercial property consultancy Hartnell Taylor Cook has announced two senior appointments in its London office, naming Matthew Sharkey as head of London office and James Proctor as head of London agency.
With more than 25 years’ experience in building consultancy, Matthew will lead the strategic direction of the London team alongside his role as partner in the project and building consultancy division.
He said: “We’ve had a really strong presence in the capital for the last 43 years, working with some of the city’s most iconic real estate.
“We’ve got a brilliant team of people, which I'm deeply proud to be part of, and this is only going to grow further.
“I’m looking forward to leading the business to continued success in the years ahead.”
James, who joined the firm in 2023, steps up from his position as head of Central London offices to oversee agency operations across the capital, focusing on business development and client relationships.
He added: “It’s an exciting time to be part of Hartnell Taylor Cook’s London growth story.
“The commercial property market in London is evolving rapidly, and we’re seeing strong activity from both occupiers and investors.
“My focus will be on expanding our agency offering across all sectors, strengthening client relationships and continuing to deliver best-in-class results across the capital.”
Their appointments come as Hartnell Taylor Cook continues its growth across London and Bristol, following the recent promotion of David North to managing partner.
David added: “Matthew and James are Hartnell Taylor Cook through-and-through, and form key pillars of the London office.
“I have no doubt that the office will continue to thrive in their more-than-capable hands, delivering top-quality work for our clients and acting as fantastic ambassadors for the business.”
