Investor's £2.4 million adds steel to scheme
An investment firm has added steel to an industrial venture with £2.4 million support.
Develop North has provided finance for a North Yorkshire scheme.
Bosses say the seven-unit endeavour will “unlock opportunities for local businesses and contribute to long-term growth”.
Known as Whitley Court, and based near the A1(M) at Leeming Bar, near Northallerton, the project will include warehouse and trade counter units boasting solar panels and rainwater recycling systems.
It is being delivered by Grown From a Seed Developments.
Brendan O’Grady, fund manager at Newcastle-based Tier One Capital – which manages London Stock Exchange-listed Develop North – said: “Develop North is committed to supporting projects that deliver real economic impact.
“From housing to commercial developments, our funding helps create employment, regenerate communities and strengthen the regional economy.”
Kate Grint, Grown From a Seed Developments’ director, added: “Whitley Court has been designed to meet the needs of modern businesses.
“Tenants will benefit from superb transport links, while also becoming part of a thriving commercial community that continues to grow around Leeming Bar.”
Since its 2017 founding, officials say Develop North has supported more than 40 projects and helped create in excess of 12,000 jobs.
Earlier this year, it unveiled a real estate growth blueprint aimed at expanding financial support for North East businesses, housing and regeneration projects.
