Aon welcomes new talent in Manchester

Global professional services firm Aon has welcomed eight new recruits to its Manchester office as part of its early careers programme.

The new intake includes four graduates, two apprentices and two placement students who have joined the firm’s wealth and commercial risk teams.

The group will gain hands-on experience in actuarial consulting, client management and broking, supported by Aon’s structured training and mentoring to help them develop into future leaders.

Roya Nazari, commercial risk apprentice in Aon’s Manchester office, said: “Participating in Aon’s apprenticeship programme has been incredibly valuable.

“I am gaining hands-on experience every day, and I am grateful to have a team that makes me feel included and welcome.

“There’s a genuine culture of support.

“I always feel comfortable reaching out for help, and I consistently receive the guidance I need when facing new challenges.

“The training opportunities have been instrumental in building my confidence, especially when handling real client scenarios.

“It's so inspiring to see how the programme opens doors to new opportunities and further career development.”

Aon’s early careers programme offers graduate, apprenticeship and placement routes, combining education and professional experience.

Its ‘Launch’ graduate programme focuses on leadership development, while the apprenticeship route provides an 18-month to two-year blend of study and work experience.

Placement students, currently completing their degrees, gain valuable industry insight before returning to university.

Marcus Pollitt, senior consultant in Aon’s Manchester office, added: “Aon’s early careers programme attracts the best and brightest talent, and we are proud of the reputation it has built over the years.

“Each year, we see a high level of interest in our graduate, apprenticeship, and placement schemes, which reflects the strength of the opportunities we offer.

“We are always impressed by the wide range of talent that we attract.”

Matt Foy, head of office at Aon Manchester, added: “I’d like to welcome all our new joiners to the Manchester team, and I look forward to watching them flourish in their careers.”
