Owl Homes appoints new managing director
Tamworth-based housebuilder Owl Homes has appointed Mike Kelly as managing director, bringing nearly 30 years of experience in the residential development sector.
Mike joins the award-winning firm following senior leadership roles at Bloor Homes and Bellway Homes, where he played key roles in driving growth and operational excellence.
His appointment comes as Owl Homes marks its tenth anniversary and continues to expand its presence across the Midlands.
Mike said: “The Owl team is ambitious, forward-thinking and has bold plans for future growth.
“The opportunity to join the company at such a pivotal time was just the challenge I was looking for.
“I’m excited to lead the business forward; growing our visibility as we launch new developments and establish strong communities across the Midlands.
“It’s a real privilege to be leading Owl Homes as the business reached its tenth birthday.
“In just a decade, Owl has built a strong reputation, recognised for quality design, exceptional customer service and thriving communities in sought-after locations.
“My intention is to strengthen this, ensuring Owl remains a trusted name for homeowners.”
This winter, the company will officially launch three new village developments in Alderton, Burton on the Wolds, and Stoke Golding, delivering 169 new homes across Gloucestershire and Leicestershire as part of its ongoing regional growth strategy.
Mike added: “I’m confident we have the team in place to deliver and am pleased to confirm that along with the trio of developments at Alderton, Burton on the Wolds and Stoke Golding, we have a healthy pipeline for 2026, including new locations for the Owl brand such as Droitwich.
“Milestones present a natural opportunity to consider achievements and regroup for the road ahead.
“As we reflect on ten years of Owl Homes, we’re exceptionally proud to have created over 1000 new homes and contributed £4.7 million to support local communities.
“Now, our vision is to elevate this and become the developer of choice for the Midlands.”
