Builder in good health after hospital contract
A building contractor is feeling fit after completing a healthcare contract.
Henry Brothers Construction led work on a new endoscopy unit at Leicester General Hospital.
The base includes six procedure rooms and 20 private patient pods.
Bosses say the unit will help medical staff examine 9000 extra patients every year.
Work on the one-storey site was carried out by Nottingham-based Henry Brothers Construction alongside project manager Selcon; quantity surveyor Rider Levitt Bucknall; principal designer Stephen George & Partners; architect P+HS; structural engineer Curtins; and mechanical and electrical engineer CPW.
Ian Taylor, Henry Brothers Construction managing director, said: “The new unit will improve the diagnostic and treatment experience of patients and provide staff with a modern facility.
“It will play a key role in enhancing healthcare for the local community.”
James Almond, P+HS Architects’ managing director, added: “The new unit is a fantastic example of how well-designed environments can enhance patient experience and staff wellbeing.
“We’re proud to make a real difference to healthcare provision in the region.”
Henry Brothers Construction is part of the Henry Brothers Group, which is headquartered in Northern Ireland.
