Quantum Consult appoints senior consultant
Leeds-based quantity surveying and construction dispute resolution consultancy Quantum Consult has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of Oliver Gregory as senior consultant.
Oliver brings more than 30 years’ experience across the construction and engineering sectors, having worked with Tier 1 contractors, specialist sub-contractors and multi-national organisations.
He now specialises in commercial and contractual dispute resolution, including adjudication and arbitration on major infrastructure schemes, school and hospital developments, as well as heavy civil engineering projects.
Oliver’s experience spans contract management, payment disputes, delay and disruption and breach of contract matters, supporting clients with negotiations, formal notices, document management and compliance with contractual obligations.
He said: “In my experience spanning both the construction company, as a client, and specialist construction lawyers, the use of construction claims consultants like Quantum can be very cost effective, especially where the consultant has been involved in the non-contentious stages of a project.
“Construction contracts are always complex.
“So whatever issues have been identified or encountered, such as delays, a payment dispute, allegations of defective work or poor workmanship and variation disputes, or issues raised relating to time, deadlines and design issues, the earlier we are involved, the better.
“And our support can be extremely beneficial to contractors and sub-contractors of all kinds, helping to minimise their financial risk and alleviate the stress associated with such issues.”
Based at Thorpe Park in Leeds, Quantum Consult forms part of the Quantum Group and provides specialist dispute resolution services alongside its sister division, Quantum CPM, which advises contractors and sub-contractors on efficient contract delivery and risk reduction.
